The Permanent Committee of Kingdom Affairs and Inter-Parliamentary Relations (CKAIR), will meet on April 26. The Minister of Justice will be present for the handling of agenda points 3 and 4.

The CKAIR Committee meeting is scheduled for Tuesday at 3.00 pm in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelminastraat #1 in Philipsburg.

The agenda points to be discussed are:

The House of Parliament will sit in a Central Committee meeting on April 26. The Minister of Justice will be present for the session.    

The Central Committee meeting reconvenes on Tuesday at 2.00 pm in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelminastraat #1 in Philipsburg.

The agenda points are 1. Status of insurance coverage for police officers and their families and other related and affected issues and 2. Approval composition delegation and provisions for IPKO in The Hague, May 31-June 3, 2016.

This Central Committee meeting was requested by Members of Parliament (MPs) MP T.E. Leonard, MP Leona Marlin-Romeo and MP F.A. Meyers.

 


The Finance Committee of Parliament will meet in a closed door session on April 25th.

The closed door Finance Committee meeting is set for Monday at 9.00 am in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelminastraat #1 in Philipsburg.

The agenda point is presentation of the draft Budget 2017 of the General Audit Chamber.

 


The permanent Committee of Parliament for Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transport and Telecommunications (TEATT), will meet on April 22nd with representatives from AVA Airways.

    

The Committee meeting is set for Friday at 10.00 am in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelminastraat #1 in Philipsburg.

The agenda point is a discussion with representatives from AVA Airways concerning the business plan; the Sint Maarten Aviation Open Sky Policy; the private public partnership proposal with WINAIR; the intension with FAA IASA Cat 2 aviation rating and to bring to the attention of Parliament the circumvention, slanderous statement, discrimination and protecting of a monopoly in Air Transport within the Dutch Caribbean by the Government of Curacao.

 


The House of Parliament will sit in an urgent plenary public session on April 21. The Minister of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports Affairs will be present for the session.    

The urgent plenary public meeting is scheduled for Thursday at 2.00 pm in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelminastraat #1 in Philipsburg.

The agenda point is Discussion on the management, financial dilemma, court cases, lack of payments to the staff of NIPA and the status of NIPA.

This urgent plenary session of the House was requested by Members of Parliament (MPs) MP L.M. Marlin-Romeo, MP T.E. Leonard and MP V.H.C. de Weever.

 


The permanent Committee of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports Affairs (CECYSA), will meet on April 21st with representatives from Foresee Foundation.

    

The Committee meeting is set for Thursday at 10.00 am in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelminastraat #1 in Philipsburg.

The agenda point is Presentation by Foresee Foundation on the ongoing projects pertaining to Technology in Education.

 


The Finance Committee of Parliament will meet in a closed door session on April 20th.

The closed door Finance Committee meeting is set for Wednesday at 11.00 am in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelminastraat #1 in Philipsburg.

The agenda point is a discussion with “Meldpunt Ongebruikelijke Transacties”(MOT) concerning their operation and guidelines.

 


The House of Parliament will sit in a plenary public session on April 19. The Minister of General Affairs will be present for the session.    

The plenary public meeting reconvenes on Tuesday at 2.00 pm in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelminastraat #1 in Philipsburg.

The agenda point is the sale of the new government administration building.

This plenary session of the House was requested by Members of Parliament (MPs) MP Franklin Meyers, MP Leona Marlin-Romeo and MP Van Hugh Cornelius de Weever.

 


The Ad Hoc Committee New Parliament Building of Parliament will meet in a closed door session on April 19th.

The closed door meeting is set for Tuesday at 10.00 am in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelminastraat #1 in Philipsburg.

The agenda point is a discussion on procedural steps to be taken to come to a location, requirements and general conditions for the construction of a new Parliament Building.

 


The Central Committee will meet in a session on April 18, 2016. The Minister of Housing, Spatial Planning, Environment and Infrastructure will be present for the sitting of the House.     

The Central Committee meeting has been set for Monday at 2.00 pm in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelminastraat #1 in Philipsburg.

The agenda point is the Draft National Ordinance amending the Ordinance spatial development plan in connection with the reintroduction of Article 28a.

This meeting is a continuation of the meeting that started on March 24, 2016.
