The House of Parliament will sit in a Central Committee meeting on Wednesday, May 2, 2018. 

The Central Committee meeting which was adjourned on Thursday, 26 April 2018, after a presentation by the Minister of Finance on the 2018 Budget, will be reconvened at 14.00 hrs. in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelminastraat #1 in Philipsburg. The Council of Ministers will be present. 

Four (4) points have been added to the agenda.

The agenda points are:

  1. Advice regarding the installation and composition of the Permanent and Ad hoc Committees of Parliament
  1. Advice regarding the installation and composition of the Committees of the Latin American Parliament (Parlatino)
  1. Approval composition delegation and provisions for Members of Parliament to participate in IPKO and Tripartite in the Hague, the Netherlands from May 29 – June 1, 2018
  1. Advice concerning Regulation for faction workers of Parliament
  1. Landsverordening tot vastelling van de begroting van het land Sint Maarten voor het dienstjaar 2018 (Landsverordening begroting 2018) (Zittingsjaar 2017-2018-107) (IS/480/2017-2018 d.d. 21 april 2018)

The House of Parliament will sit in a Central Committee meeting on Wednesday, April 25, 2018. 

The Central Committee meeting is scheduled for 14.00 hrs. in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelminastraat #1 in Philipsburg. The Prime Minister / Minister of General Affairs will be present. 

The agenda points are:

  1. Status of the National Recovery Plan and overall recovery of Sint Maarten in general
  1. The role of the World Bank in the recovery process and the dissemination of recovery funds and the status of the Sint Maarten project Bureau to manage the recovery projects (IS/474/17-18) dated April 19, 2018.
  1. A status update on the Government’s Information Technology (IT) infrastructure post the recent “cyber-attack.” What preventative measures have been taken to avoid similar system interruptions in the future? (IS/475/17-18) dated April 20, 2018.

The Central Committee meeting is scheduled for 14.00 hrs in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelminastraat #1 in Philipsburg. The minister of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Traffic and Telecommunication will be present.

The agenda point is:

Status and situation around the dismissal of the workers at St. Maarten Cable TV and the predicament of the subscribers of said company (IS/309/2017-2018 dated February 1, 2018)
