an urgentplenary public meeting on Monday, September 24, 2018. The Minister of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport will be present.

The urgent plenary public meeting which was adjourned on September 14, 2018 will resume on Monday September 24 at 17.00 hrs in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelminastraat #1 in Philipsburg. 

The agenda points are:

  1. Status of the schools for the school year 2018/2019, particularly the shortage of teachers, preparedness for the 2018 hurricane season, the safety Emergency Management Committee and the Emergency Guidelines for schools, the School Bus Policy, and the Implementation Plan
  1. The state of sports and arts facilities and programs in Sint Maarten (IS/872/2017-2018 dated August 22, 2018)
