Sint Maarten – A Plenary sitting of the House of Parliament will take place on September 17 with the Minister of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports Hon. Rita Bourne-Gumbs. 

The public plenary session is set for Thursday, at 2.00pm in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelmina Straat #1 in Philipsburg.

The first agenda point is incoming documents; second agenda point is a draft National Ordinance to change several ordinances that would establish Constitution Day as a national day; third agenda point are resolutions from the Tripartite May 2015.

 


TheHouse of Parliament will meet in a public plenary session on September 14th.  The Minister of Justice Dennis Richardson, has confirmed to be present for the parliamentary session. 

  

The plenary session is set for Monday at 10.00am in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelmina Straat #1 in Philipsburg, and is a continuation of the House sitting that was initially held in August. 

The agenda point is the protocol signed between the Governments of the Netherlands and Sint Maarten and the apparent unilateral decision by the Netherlands/Dutch Police Agencies regarding the Justice System on Sint Maarten.


TheCentral Committee of Parliament will meet in public session on September 15 with the Minister of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports Hon. Rita Bourne-Gumbs.  

The public Central Committee meeting is set for Tuesday, at 2.00pm in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelmina Straat #1 in Philipsburg.

The agenda point is a draft National Ordinance to change several ordinances that would establish Constitution Day as a national day.  Constitution Day has been acknowledged since Sint Maarten became a country on October 10.

The public Central Committee meeting is set for Tuesday, at 10.00am in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelmina Straat #1 in Philipsburg.

The first of four agenda points are: a presentation by the Ombudsman related to the Year Report 2014; second agenda point is, a report on several National Ordinances; the third is about an invitation for the President and Secretary General of Parliament to attend the 200th anniversary of the First and Second Chambers of the Dutch Parliament on October 16th; and the fourth agenda point is an invitation to attend InterExpo Congress and Matchmaking from September 22-25 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.


The House of Parliament will meet in a public plenary session on August 6th.

The public Central Committee meeting is set for Wednesday at 10.00am in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelmina Straat #1 in Philipsburg.

The agenda point is related to the National Ordinance Public Health Care.


The Permanent Committee of Kingdom Affairs and Inter-parliamentary Relations (CKAIR) of Parliament will meet in session on August 5th.

The Permanent Committee of Kingdom Affairs and Inter-parliamentary Relations meeting is set for Wednesday at 2.00pm in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelmina Straat #1 in Philipsburg.

The four agenda points are approval of the decision lists CKAIR Parliamentary Year 2014-2015, no 12 and 13; incoming documents CKAIR; follow-up Inter-parliamentary Kingdom Consultation (IPKO) and Tripartite May 2015; and preparation IPKO January 2016.


The Permanent Committee of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports Affairs (CECYSA) of Parliament, will meet in public session on June 24 with Minister of Education Hon. Rita Bourne-Gumbs. 

The Permanent Committee meeting is set for Wednesday at 2.00pm in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelmina Straat #1 in Philipsburg.

The agenda point is a presentation to the permanent committee members on the vision and mission of Minister Bourne-Gumbs as well about the strategic objectives, policies and programs of the Ministry for the governing period 2014-2018.


The Central Committee of Parliament will meet in a closed door session on June 24. 

The public Central Committee meeting is set for Wednesday at 9.00am in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelmina Straat #1 in Philipsburg.

The agenda point is the approval of the function book for the Secretariat of Parliament. 


The Central Committee of Parliament will meet in public session on June 23rd. 

The Central Committee meeting is set for Tuesday at 10.00am in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelmina Straat #1 in Philipsburg.

The first agenda point is a discussion between the Saint Martin Territorial Council of the Collectivity and Members of Parliament (MPs) on topics of mutual interests with specific attention on: the position of residents of the French side that are on pension that have been employed on the Dutch side in the past; possibility of joint waste management; possibility of joint water and light management; development of geothermal energy.

The second agenda point to be handled in the Central Committee meeting of Parliament on Tuesday is an invitation for the House to send a delegation of MPs to attend a solemn public meeting of the Parliament of Curacao on the occasion of Curacao Flag Day which is observed on July 2nd.
