Parliament set to go into recess from the 13-24 of July 2020

PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten – In accordance with the year calendar of the Parliament of Sint Maarten, the summer recess of Parliament is scheduled from July 2 – August 7, 2020.

However, due to developments surrounding the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and the need for Parliament to work on some urgent matters, it was deemed necessary to defer 4 weeks out of the 6 weeks summer recess to later in the year, allowing Parliament to work diligently on much needed legislation and other urgent matters.

The summer recess of Parliament will officially now commence on Monday, July 13 and end on Friday, July 24, 2020
