Biography
Egbert Jurendy Doran is a Member of Parliament for St. Maarten and the former Minister of Public Housing, Spatial Planning, Environment & Infrastructure (VROMI). First sworn in as the youngest MP in April 2018, Doran has focused his public service on strengthening infrastructure, housing access, and transparent land-use policy.
As VROMI Minister, he advanced digital service delivery and key public-works priorities, including the online electrical inspection platform and steps toward integrated solid-waste management. He brings an information-technology background to governance—having served as IT Manager at the Pointe Blanche prison—and often emphasizes modernization and efficiency in public services.
