Biography
Ardwell M.R. Irion is a Member of Parliament and former Minister of Finance of St. Maarten, first appointed on November 19, 2019, under Prime Minister Silveria Jacobs. During his tenure he worked on stabilizing public finances, improving transparency, and engaging the public in fiscal reforms. He also championed Financial Literacy Month to help residents build practical money skills.
With a professional background in ICT and entrepreneurship, Irion has advocated for digital government—supporting tools like tax and fee payment apps and data-driven decision-making to improve service delivery and accountability.
