On Thursday, December 4, 2025, the President of Parliament, the Hon. Sarah A. Wescot-Williams, paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Mei Li Vos, President of the First Chamber of the States-General of the Netherlands. The two Presidents took the opportunity to formally connect and exchange insights on key regional and geopolitical developments, including the situation involving the United States and Venezuela, as well as climate change.

 

On Monday, December 8, 2025, President Wescot-Williams also paid a courtesy visit to the recently elected President of the Second Chamber of the States-General of the Netherlands, Mr. Thom van Campen. Their discussion addressed the Kingdom and its structure, the situation regarding the United States and Venezuela, safety and security within the Kingdom, the role of the President of Parliament, and the functioning of parliaments.

 

These courtesy visits by President Wescot-Williams reinforce the commitment to parliamentary cooperation, collaboration, and dialogue with Kingdom partners.
