A petition is a formal written request or expression of concern addressed to the Parliament of Sint Maarten. Electronic submissions are accepted and treated as written records. Please ensure your request is clearly stated and supported by relevant facts.

Who May Submit?

  • Citizens and residents of Sint Maarten
  • Organizations, associations, and community groups

What to Include

  1. Your full name and contact details (email required for acknowledgment)
  2. A clear title summarizing your request or concern
  3. A detailed description of your petition (facts, reasoning, and desired outcome)
  4. Supporting documents (optional)

How We Handle Petitions

After you submit, your petition will be recorded and acknowledged by email within five (5) working days. It will be reviewed by the relevant parliamentary committee, which may request clarification, invite additional input, or advise Parliament on next steps. You will be informed about the status and outcome.

Your personal information is used only to process your petition. Depending on parliamentary proceedings, petition content may be made public; your contact details remain confidential.
